Ricciardo: Mercedes quicker than we hoped

– Daniel Ricciardo has admitted that Mercedes is proving to be quicker than Red Bull had anticipated at the Hungarian Grand Prix.Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg controlled both of Friday's practice sessions at the Hungaroring, with Sebastian Vettel the best of the rest.Vettel was six tenths adrift, with Ricciardo 0.872s further back."Mercedes showed today that they were quick again. Unfortunately quicker than we hoped," Ricciardo told reporters in the paddock."I don't think we found too many positives for today."Although the gap to Mercedes remains large, Vettel says the team will not give up on the 2014 season."We are trying to make progress," he said,...
