Gutierrez expecting to open contract talks with Sauber soon
+ Esteban Gutierrez is expecting to open talks with Sauber soon over a contract extension which would see him remain on the grid for 2015.
Gutierrez, like Sauber, is yet to score a point this season, in what has been a miserable year for both the Mexican, who has recored just a best finish of 12th, and the Hinwil-based team, which currently sits 10th in the constructors’ championship, behind Marussia.
Despite these struggles, the former GP3 champion, who carries substantial backing from telecommunications giant Telmex, remains hopeful of securing his place on the grid for another season, with the prospect of a home grand prix in Mexico looming in 2015.
