Wolff 'not a marketing' ploy

Williams Martini Racing Williams development driver Susie Wolff has said that she is not at the team to be part of a marketing scheme, after becoming the first female driver to take part in an official session in 22 years. Wolff's debut run at Silverstone was truncated by a mechanical failure but her second outing at Hockenheim was more fruitful as she set a time just two-tenths of a second slower than Williams team-mate Felipe Massa. "So many people said that this is just a marketing scheme," she told the Official F1 Website.
