Rossi to replace Chilton at Belgian Grand Prix
Alexander Rossi will make his Formula 1 race debut at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix as a replacement for Marussia as a replacement for regular driver Max Chilton.
The British team have promoted the 22-year-old American driver to a race seat while contractual issues are resolved with their current full-time driver Chilton.
Rossi only joined the Marussia squad as a reserve driver last month after vacating a similar role at rivals Caterham F1.
While the details of the contactual dispute are unclear, Marussia team manager John Booth is expecting Chilton to return to his seat in the near future.
