Maldonado 'ok' after heavy hit

Pastor Maldonado has been taken to the Spa-Francorchamps medical centre for precautionary checks. The Lotus driver crashed 10 minutes in FP2 when he touched the grass and lost control of his E22. He spun across the track and hit the barriers on the opposite side before coming to a halt. It was a heavy impact, resulting in the Venezuelan driver heading off for precautionary checks.
