Kvyat gets engine change grid penalty

Sutton Images Enlarge Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat has incurred a ten-place grid penalty for using his sixth engine of the season at the Italian Grand Prix. The penalty is the first to be handed out this year to any driver for using more than five power unit components. The penalty will see him drop ten places on the grid, but if he qualifies within ten places of the back of the grid the remaining penalty places will be carried over to the next grand prix weekend. The FIA confirmed Kvyat had used six internal combustion engines after a change on Friday evening.
