'Unfortunate' Magnussen has no need to change - Boullier
McLaren Mercedes
Kevin Magnussen has no need to change his approach to racing despite being penalised in successive races, according to McLaren racing director Eric Boullier.
Magnussen was penalised for not giving Fernando Alonso enough room in Belgium, while he was sanctioned in Italy for forcing Valtteri Bottas off track.
The penalties meant that rather than collecting sixth in Belgium and seventh in Italy, he ended up with just a point after being demoted to 10th at Monza.
But Boullier does not feel that his young charger needs to rein in his style.
"I think he was unfortunate to be penalised," Boullier said during a McLaren phone-in.
"We believe [it] was a normal move...
