Verstappen completes first Formula 1 test
Newly-signed 2015 Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen completed his first Formula 1 test today at the Adria International Raceway.
After sampling F1 machinery for the first time in a demonstration run in Rotterdam, which didn't end particularly well, the 16-year-old had a positive debut test.
Verstappen drove a 2012 Toro Rosso STR7 at the Italian track, which is just two hours away from the team's Faenza factory.
A damp track meant his first two runs were on intermediate Pirelli tyres, before he was able to switch to slicks later in the day as conditions improved.
In total he managed 148 laps, completing a mix of low and high fuel runs as well as pit stops and starts.
