Ecclestone wants third cars from 2015
– Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone feels the sport should consider three-car teams for 2015.With certain outfits enduring financial problems and thus struggling to survive, the idea of more established teams running a third machine – and preventing any potential loss in grid numbers – has been mooted.It is a concept that Ecclestone is keen to push through, even if all of the current teams are able to continue."It's always been on the cards that if we lose up to three teams then the others will run three cars," explained Ecclestone in the Singapore paddock, before adding: "I think we should do it anyway.
