Tost hopeful of Suzuka practice run for Verstappen

+ Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost is hopeful Max Verstappen will be able to make his Formula 1 debut in opening practice at the Japanese Grand Prix, as long as the FIA grant him a superlicence. Tost confirmed that Toro Rosso had lodged an application for a FIA superlicence for Verstappen, after the Dutchman completed over 300km of testing at the Adria circuit in Italy last week at the wheel of the teams’s 2012 car, in hopes of running the youngster in FP1 at Suzuka. “Max Verstappen did a test at Adria last week, he completed 396km without any problems and we were really impressed with his performance,” said Tost. “Now it is in the hands of the FIA as to whether he gets his...
