Button rues Q2 error in Singapore

says a lock-up on his final run in the second segment of qualifying cost him a top 10 grid position. However, the 2009 world champion feels that even if he had made it to Q3, he wouldn't have qualified much further up the grid. He missed out on a spot in the top 10 shoot-out by just two hundredths of a second. 'Not making the cut into Q3 is disappointing, especially considering the strong progress we’d made during Q1,' Button said. 'On my final, critical run in Q2, I lost quite a lot of time at the hairpin – I locked up the fronts and ran wide – and I dropped a couple of tenths.
