Magnussen: It was the hardest point I’ve ever earned

Kevin Magnussen says 10th place in today's Singapore Grand Prix was the hardest point he has ever earned. The Danish rookie started the race from ninth on the grid but higher than expected tyre degradation caused McLaren to switch him from a two to a three-stop strategy. Mid-way through the race his car's cockpit started to overheat, which made things very uncomfortable. He also radioed the team telling them that he couldn't use his water bottle as it was burning his mouth. He eventually took the chequered flag in 10th place after a very difficult 60-lap race.
