Stevens to drive for Marussia in FP1

Will Stevens is set to drive for Marussia in FP1 at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. The 23-year-old Briton was most recently with Caterham but left after Tony Fernandes sold the team to a group of Swiss and Middle Eastern investors advised by Colin Kolles. While Stevens has experience of the 2014 Caterham from the Silverstone mid-season test, Friday will be his first official practice session. Stevens is expected to replace Max Chilton for FP1, and Chilton himself said he is confident it won't impact on his own weekend. “I know Will very well,” Chilton said. “He's a good friend of mine so I'm more than happy to do so.
