Stevens' Marussia FP1 drive falls through
Will Stevens has missed out on an FP1 appearance for Marussia at the Japanese Grand Prix after paperwork issues. Marussia was set to run Stevens in the opening practice session at Suzuka, which would have been his first appearance at an F1 race weekend. However, team principal John Booth confirmed to Crash.net on Friday morning that Stevens' paperwork had not arrived in time to allow him to drive. Asked if there would be the possibility for future FP1 drives this season, Booth replied: "Absolutely."
