Russia's greatest Grand Prix moments
Formula One racing will break new ground this week as the teams and drivers head to Sochi for the 2014 Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix - the very first race in the country. On the eve of the event we look back over past Russian F1 achievements, including a memorable podium for Vitaly Petrov, an impressive debut for Daniil Kvyat, and more… Petrov blazes a trail, Bahrain, 2010After a solid junior career that included several wins in the GP2 Series, Petrov became the first Russian driver to compete in F1 racing when he joined Renault for the 2010 season. The rookie’s first event was in Bahrain (pictured) where he qualified 17th before retiring from the race with damaged suspension....
