Sochi FP2: Hamilton leaves them in his dust
Lewis Hamilton fastest on day one at Sochi
Lewis Hamilton is on a roll, with a hat-trick of wins behind him, he is hunting his fourth victory in a row and ninth of the season as he tackles the spanking new Sochi Autodrom, venue of the inaugural Russian Grand Prix, starting his quest by stamping his authority on proceedings in emphatic fashion.
The championship leader's best time of 1:39.630 in Free Practice 2 was a massive 0.894 of a second faster than his closest rival, during the 90 minute afternoon session, and almost a second up on title rival and Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg who ended the session fourth fastest.
