Bottas: Mistake did not cost me pole

– Valtteri Bottas does not think the error he made in the closing stages of qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix cost him pole position.Bottas set overall best times through the first two sectors of his final qualifying lap, but wound up third, behind Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, after running wildly wide at the last corner.The Williams driver has since made clear, however, that he struggled through the entire final phase of the lap due to degrading tyres."I didn't realise I was close to the pole. Maybe I was too hard on the tyres at the beginning of the lap and the last sector became trickier," he said."I risked it a bit too much in the final corners...
