Victory gives Palmer GP2 title

Jolyon Palmer clinched the GP2 drivers' title with a stunning victory in Russia to wrap up the championship with three races to spare.The 23-year-old becomes the first Briton to win the title since Lewis Hamilton in 2006 and now has his targets firmly set on graduating to Formula 1 in 2015.Palmer's Feature Race victory was anything but easy in Sochi, however, as he was forced to fend off heavy pressure from Mitch Evans in the closing laps, whilst also waiting for various strategies to pay out.After a crazy opening sequence of corners, Palmer found himself running in second, behind pole-sitter Stoffel Vandoorne, but it quickly became apparent that a win would give him the title when Felipe...
