Rosberg labels error 'very unnecessary'

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg labelled his first lap error as 'very unnecessary' as he cost himself a chance of victory at the Russian Grand Prix. Rosberg challenged his Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton into Turn Two but locked up and had to pit at the end of the first lap for fresh Prime tyres. From there he stayed out until the end of the race and recovered to second, limiting the damage to his championship hopes against Hamilton. "It was just a mistake on my side," he said.
