Ocon completes test with Lotus
Lotus F1 Team
Formula 3 champion Esteban Ocon has completed his maiden Formula 1 test with Lotus at Valencia.
Ocon, signed to Lotus's young driver scheme, accumulated over 650 kilometres of running in the E20, the car which Kimi Raikkonen drove in the 2012 season.
Ocon received the test as part of his development, as well as a reward for claiming the title in his rookie year.
"The test driving the E20 went really well," he said.
"I had to adapt to the car quite rapidly which I did very well. I felt comfortable with the team straight away and the same with the E20. The word I’d use to describe the feeling of driving an F1 car is that it is just quicker.
