Caterham F1 launches crowdfunding project

The Caterham F1 Team's administrators have launched a crowdfunding project in an attempt to race at the 2014 season finale in Abu Dhabi. The Leafield-based outfit entered administration last month. Accountancy firm Smith & Williamson has been trying to find a buyer for Caterham F1 after being given dispensation to miss the United States and Brazilian Grands Prix. A target of £2,350,000 has been set and needs to be reached by Friday 14th November. Donations of between £1 and £45,000 can be made, with rewards such as team merchandise, car parts and corporate hospitality.
