Marussia officially shutting its doors

SAO PAULO, Nov 07, 2014 (AFP) - The Marussia Formula One team ceased trading and made nearly 200 staff redundant on Friday. Frantic final efforts to save the team from failure and to keep alive hopes of an entry to the world championship in 2015 were dashed in a statement from the team's administrators, appointed last month. The administrators FRP Advisory LLP instead confirmed the team was closing down after several bids to find a buyer had failed.
