Best long-run pace this year - Ricciardo

Getty Images Enlarge Daniel Ricciardo believes Red Bull is showing its best long-run pace all year, but still thinks his best chance of fighting Mercedes is if it rains this weekend at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Ricciardo finished the session fourth fastest but was still 0.8s slower than the fastest time set by Nico Rosberg at Interlagos on Friday. However, over the longer runs on heavy fuel he believes the car is more competitive and could be closer to Mercedes than it has been all year. "The early signs are good," Ricciardo said.
