Merhi hopeful of Caterham seat for Abu Dhabi

– Roberto Merhi should be driving for Caterham at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, according to his father.Merhi tested for Caterham in practice in Italy, Japan and Russia alongside his duties in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, in which he finished in third place in the championship.But Roberto Merhi Snr believes that his son has a valid contract to race for Caterham if one of the regular drivers, Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson, could not compete.Ericsson terminated his Caterham contract last week before the squad announced that they would return to the sport in Abu Dhabi after entering administration and missing races in the United States and Brazil."I have heard...
