Rosberg fastest in final Abu Dhabi GP practice
+ Nico Rosberg broke Lewis Hamilton’s early stranglehold of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, beating his team-mate and title rival to end third and final practice fastest.
Rosberg posted a best lap of 1:41.424 on a late qualifying run to edge Hamilton to the top spot by 0.369s.
Felipe Massa ended the hour-long session third fastest for Williams, but a second adrift of the Rosberg’s session topping time.
Fernando Alonso elected to complete just eight laps early in the session on the super-soft tyre in an effort to conserve engine mileage, but his time was good enough to leave him fourth fastest.
