Championship position: 8th out of 23 Jenson Button entered his 15th season in F1 hopeful of a big improvement at McLaren, but ended it with his future in the balance until the middle of December. Third place in Australia – behind team-mate Kevin Magnussen – was Button's first podium since he won in Brazil in 2012, but he didn't get to taste the champagne as Daniel Ricciardo finished second at the time before later being excluded. Still, it was as good as it got for Button in another tough season...
