Vergne joins Ferrari as test driver

Ferrari has confirmed that Toro Rosso outcast Jean-Eric Vergne has joined the squad as a test driver. Vergne, who finished in 13th place in this year's championship, will focus on car development work in Ferrari's simulator. Vergne joins Esteban Gutierrez, Marc Gene and Davide Rigon as a test driver with the Italian squad. "I feel very honored to be joining the Ferrari family and becoming a part of the most prestigious team in the history of Formula One," commented Vergne.
