F1: '2014 for Ferrari was a huge disaster'
Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne has described the 2014 F1 season as “a huge disaster” for the team. A year of turmoil saw Ferrari fail to win a race all season for the first time since 1993, with the team only managing two podiums all year courtesy of Fernando Alonso. Off the track there was also instability, with Ferrari now on its third team principal of the year and both Luca di Montezemolo and Alonso leaving. Following a number of personnel changes announced over the past two weeks, Marchionne said next season would also be a tough one as the team tries to lay the foundations for future success.
