New super-soft tyre for 2015
Sutton Images Enlarge Pirelli says only its super-soft compound will be a completely new tyre in 2015 with the other three compounds evolutions of last year's. Pirelli manufacturers four compounds of slick tyres for each F1 season, two of which are supplied to teams at each race. After taking a conservative approach last season, Pirelli is only slightly tweaking its hard, medium and soft compound tyres in the knowledge that the rapidly improving cars will give them harder workout this year.
