Hamilton: Good to get some laps in
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says it was “good” to get some laps in on Friday during day two of the Barcelona test. Hamilton only did 11 laps on Thursday due to a fever, but got the chance to return to the cockpit this afternoon, when team-mate Nico Rosberg opted to sit out the session as a precaution after trapping a nerve in his neck. “I have not seen that in Formula 1 or coming up through the ranks with both team-mates having issues, but it has been good today to get some laps in,” Hamilton told reporters, including Crash.net. “I missed driving so I wanted to get in.” Hamilton finished the day fifth overall, 0.349s off the top time posted by Daniel Ricciardo, but when...
