Rosberg plays down lap times on medium tyre
Nico Rosberg has played down his and Mercedes' lap times on the medium tyre after getting to within three tenths of Romain Grosjean's test-topping fastest time on super-soft rubber. Considered to be the first indication of Mercedes' true pace having concentrated its efforts on longer runs and reliability with the W06, Rosberg's ascension up the timesheets in the afternoon on the medium compound tyres proved particularly eye-catching. Setting a best time of 1min 24.321secs for the second fastest lap of the final day and the test overall behind only Grosjean in the super-soft shod Lotus, Rosberg was nonetheless relatively unmoved by the result. “If you say so,” he responded when it was...
