Hulkenberg impressed as Force India VJM08 finally debuts
Nico Hulkenberg says he is encouraged by the first impressions of the Force India VJM08 after giving it its belated first run on the second day of the final F1 test. Following numerous delays, the Mercedes-powered VJM08 emerged from the pit lane for the first time just before lunch and, save for a puncture on its first lap, went on to enjoy an unexpectedly trouble-free run to the chequered flag. Completing a full 77 laps without issue, though Hulkenberg says it wasn't the time to push the car at this early stage, the German was delighted with its instant reliability out of the box, even if concedes there is plenty of work ahead of the team with just two days of testing to go. “Just from...
