Hamilton fastest on penultimate test day
Mercedes AMG Petronas World Champion Lewis Hamilton continued Mercedes’ good form at the final pre-season test as he set the quickest time on the penultimate day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Hamilton moved to the top of the times with a 1:23.022 on the Soft tyres, ending the day two-tenths of a second quicker than Williams’ Felipe Massa, who achieved his fastest time on the Super Soft rubber. Kimi Räikkönen, who also set his best lap on the red-banded Pirelli tyres, was third quickest, just 0.014s behind former team-mate Massa.
