Early finish for fast and reliable Williams
Williams Martini Racing could afford to finish the penultimate day of Formula 1 testing an hour early as Felipe Massa completed his programme and notched up more than 100 laps at the Circuit de Catalunya. Though it hasn't had a chance to rival Mercedes yet, Massa's 1min 23.262secs lap on the super-soft rubber has earmarked Williams as potentially its closest threat in terms of raw pace. Furthermore, the Mercedes-powered FW37 has also proven reliable in the hands of Massa and Valtteri Bottas, so much so that the Brazilian was happy to finish a bit earlier than scheduled. “We had another good day with over 100 laps completed.
