Australian GP rubbishes boycott talk

Australian Grand Prix organisers have denied Formula One teams have discussed plans to boycott the race amid safety fears following Fernando Alonso's accident. Germany's Sport Bild newspaper reported some teams were ready to boycott the season opener because of the uncertainty surrounding the McLaren driver's crash and his absence from the Melbourne event. Sport Bild cited an unnamed team boss saying "Honda must provide answers to the FIA" in order to put the fears to rest. But Australian GP Corporation CEO Andrew Westacott said there was no truth to the rumours.
