We still need to work on the pace – Mercedes

Nico Rosberg, who won last year Australian GP, was took quickest lap-time on Friday both practice session. The German has slightly beaten his team-mate Lewis Hamilton to finish fastest in both practices; today the Silver Arrows underlined their pace, finishing 0.7 seconds ahead of nearest rival Red Bull Racing. Rosberg and Hamilton used the medium compound tyre only during the first session, the medium and soft in the second; setting their fastest time of the day on the soft.
