Hopes fade for German Grand Prix survival

The German Grand Prix looks set to be dropped from the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship schedule as organisers struggle to come to an agreement with the sport's commercial rights holders. The event has faced an uncertain future since the Nurburgring dropped out of the running having been involved in a rotation system with the Hockenheimring since 2007. Though the latter was set to take over to host the German Grand Prix again in 2015, it is yet to secure its place as the new owners have failed to come to a new agreement, with manager Georg Seiler reportedly telling Bild that is has “no hope any more of having a Formula One race here."
