Grosjean hit with two-place grid penalty for pit lane misdemeanour
Romain Grosjean has been handed a two-place grid penalty after jumping the queue of cars when exiting the pit lane at the start of Q2 on Saturday in Malaysia. The Lotus driver failed to remain in the correct position when exiting the pits during qualifying as the field queued up to try and get a good track position ahead of the incoming storm. Grosjean overtook two cars when exiting the pits, thus giving himself a better track position. He eventually made it through to Q3 and qualified eighth for the race on Sunday.
