Palmer pleased with Lotus practice debut
Jolyon Palmer says he was pleased with his performance in first practice for the Chinese Grand Prix. The Lotus F1 Team reserve driver replaced Romain Grosjean for the session, making his debut on a Formula 1 race weekend. It was his second time driving the Lotus E23 Hybrid, after sampling the car for the first time on day two of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Despite an early spin exiting Turn 8, he completed 25 laps at the Shanghai International Circuit on Friday morning and finished the session 15th fastest. 'I've been waiting to get my hands on the E23 during a Grand Prix weekend and the experience didn't disappoint,' said the reigning GP2 champion....
