McLaren-Honda made on an encouraging morning session with Jenson Button ending the day in the top 10. Fernando Alonso was 12th, with the team appearing to have made reliable improvement following their early-season struggles. Fernando Alonso says, 'It’s very encouraging to see that we’re moving firmly in the right direction' following McLaren made more progress during Friday practice for the Chinese GP. “It’s been a very positive Friday for us – I enjoyed both sessions.
