McLaren encouraged by performance gains

cLaren pair Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso say they are encouraged by the step up in performance made by the squad at this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, though added a cautious note to their optimism.Button ended the day at the foot of the top 10 but despite the improvements he remains wary that some rival teams ran in to difficulties during the second practice session."We look reasonably good out there, but that can perhaps be explained by the fact that we seem to have been able to extract the maximum out of our car today, whereas perhaps some of the other teams haven't," Button said."Still, the car feels nice to drive – especially when we're running on the Option tyre....
