FOM affirms commitment to human rights before controversial Bahrain GP
Bahrain continues to prove one of Formula One's most contentious hosts, with outings at Sakhir in the post-Arab Spring era accompanied by anti-government protests, sometimes violent, on the race's sidelines. As the minority Sunni Bahraini government continues to crack down on largely Shia dissenters in the country, Amnesty International condemned the Bahrain Grand Prix.
