Boullier not expecting big step in Spain

McLaren is unlikely to take a “big step” forward at the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix, according to Eric Boullier. Driver Fernando Alonso said after the Bahrain race that McLaren had to take another step forward at the first European race open the season, adding that "we have to be optimistic and think we on the verge of scoring and hopefully it will be in the next race." However, McLaren’s racing director Boullier has now warned that, despite expected car and engine upgrades, a big step forward for Barcelona is unlikely, and that the McLaren-Honda’s development will be more gradual.
