Maldonado chasing better balance after FP1 problems
Pastor Maldonado says he is looking to find a better balance after a difficult day of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, ahead of this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix. The Venezuelan confirmed that he suffered a gearbox problem during first practice, which meant he was only able to complete seven laps. It will be replaced but is not a race gearbox. 'The second session was clean without problems,' he told media at the track after FP2. 'Maybe the balance was not the best, we had some issues with the set-up of the car, but just maybe because we were a bit delayed because of the morning, we have not been able to work to adapt the car for the conditions.
