Alonso ‘hoping to be closer’ in qualifying

Fernando Alonso is hoping he can make further in-roads into the front runners during qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix following a positive start to the weekend for McLaren-Honda. On a weekend that has seen McLaren-Honda bring a raft of updates to the MP4-30, Jenson Button ended FP2 with the seventh fastest time, while Alonso was 11th.
