Alonso: Difficult to gain positions
– Fernando Alonso says that McLaren needs to take a step forwards in terms of position at the Canadian Grand Prix but concedes that the characteristics of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will not aid the squad's prospects.Alonso, who has yet to score a point in 2015, finished the opening practice session in ninth place before claiming 15th position in the afternoon's running."We tried several things in FP1, all of which seemed to work as we'd expected," explained Alonso."So far I am happy with the balance of the car, and with the power delivered here, but the features of this track don't suit our package too well."We're still several tenths behind to where we want...
