Ricciardo braced for Austrian GP penalty

Daniel Ricciardo admits it is likely he will serve a penalty for an engine change in the Austrian Grand Prix, rather than stretch his final power unit to Silverstone. The Australian has been using his fourth and final permitted Renault power unit since Spain, and though it has lasted now for three races – including the high-speed Canadian Grand Prix -, a decision will be taken on whether to pre-empt a change at the Red Bull Ring. Indeed, since it is a circuit he doesn't expect the RB11 to go well at, Ricciardo says he would be surprised if the change was made later than here. “It's likely,” he said when asked about the chance of a possible change. “We're definitely looking into it...
