Hulkenberg: It took a while to get in the groove again

Nico Hulkenberg admits it was tricky to get immediately up to speed in an F1 car again following his Le Mans 24 Hours exploits a week earlier, even if he proved quick enough for sixth best in Austrian Grand Prix free practice. The Force India driver was turning his first wheel in an F1 car since clinching victory in the round-the-clock classic last weekend, the German admitting the opening laps would prove difficult as he re-adapted to the rigours of a single-seater. Nonetheless, Hulkenberg was soon back up to pace in FP2, turning in the sixth quickest lap in current generation VJM08, which is being phased out after this race for the new B-spec version. “Generally we made good progress...
