McLaren reprimanded for tyre breach

– McLaren has been reprimanded by the stewards after it fitted the wrong tyres to Fernando Alonso's car during British Grand Prix qualifying.Alonso was fitted with tyres belonging to Jenson Button during Saturday afternoon's session, a breach of Article 25.4 a) of the Sporting Regulations."The team admitted the wrong tyre had been fitted onto car 14 due to a communication error," read a brief statement issued by the stewards.Mercedes was reprimanded earlier in the weekend for covering Nico Rosberg's car as it returned to the paddock after stopping on track in first practice.
