Mexico renovation '80 per cent' complete

– Renovation work at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, which will host the returning Mexico Grand Prix later this year, is now 80 per cent complete, according to the race promoter.Mexico City ends a 23-year absense from the calendar with its October 30-November 1 race weekend slot, having previously played host to Formula 1 from 1963-70 and 1986-92.Significant changes were required in order for the track to meet modern day safety standards, but Federico González Compeán, of Grand Prix promoter CIE, says work is close to completion."After 23 years of absence there is a lot of excitement, not just in Mexico City but all across the country; people are counting the days and we...
